Not only is Psalm 90 the oldest psalm, it is one of the oldest written portions of the bible. Job had been written, but the rest of the Bible was not in circulation. Even Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus were freshly written. This Psalm was written as a song for the people to sing to remind them of how precious time is and how God is over all time.
