In Hebrew, each verse of this section begins with the letter “Jod.” This is the same letter Jesus referred to in Matthew 5:18 “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” The jod is the smallest letter in the Hebrew alphabet. Jesus promised that the Word of God would not fail, even to the smallest letter! The little letter that every verse starts with, introduces big subjects about God. The Psalmist will sing about God’s hand, God’s heart, and God’s help.
